Enable is about possibility...not just disabilities. Most of us take our mobility for granted every day. We expect no less than to be able to figure out problems and make things work for ourselves. However, not everyone can enjoy the gifts of good health and an agile mind.

Enable helps over 450 persons with disabilities and their families each year. All of our services strive to reach the goal of helping each person live as fully and as independently as possible in our communities.

You have a vital role to help us reach that goal. Your contributions make it possible for us to fill gaps in services funded by governmental sources and restricted grants. Your donations address urgent needs, help dreams come true, and impact the quality of our programs.

Bruce Witt was an individual we served for 13 years through respite care and home renovations. He had muscular dystrophy. Sadly, Bruce has passed away. His life was celebrated at an extraordinary outdoor memorial service at Washington Crossing Open Theatre—a place he loved to go. Enable is about helping persons with disabilities celebrate life. As we focus on possibilities, each person we serve finds ways to live more fully and independently.

“I will always be grateful for how Enable enriched Bruce’s life. The services you provided in our home made a huge difference.” -Jane Witt

Ten percent (10%) of persons in your community are seriously affected by a disability. Enable puts 88¢ of every dollar received into direct services. Your donation is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law.

May 8th Gala Celebrates 20 Years of Service by Enable

Please join us for an evening of fun and festivities as we celebrate Enable’s 20 years of providing services to persons with disabilities. One of the highlights will be recognizing 20 persons and groups who have been involved with Enable over the years. These persons include founders, the residents of Enable’s first group home (Benford), families, volunteers, staff, donors, and current and past board members. The Gala will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Greenacres Country Club, Lawrenceville, NJ.

To add to the festivities, Enable chose the Chinese New Year as the theme for the event. Entertainment and decorations will reflect this theme as well as a special drink that has been designed. The night will include dinner along with silent and live auction items. Tickets are $150 per person. Join us as we celebrate 20 years of enabling persons with disabilities to successfully manage their lives in our communities. We hope to see you there!
