Three interns started their placements at Enable in September. Lia Pilaras is a student at Caldwell College. She will be working with participants in the Roszel Road Day Program. She is majoring in Sociology and gives approximately 20 hours a week to help out at Enable. Two interns are completing their dual Master’s in Social Work and Master’s in Divinity degrees. Thomas Baird and Megan Acedo are students at both Rutgers University School of Social Work and the Princeton Theological Seminary. They are required to put in 15 hours a week and their learning contracts require them to be involved in a wide range of activities that give them a broad introduction to the field of social services. One of the projects they will be working on together is the coordination of an inclusive ministries conference hosted by Enable’s Interfaith Advisory Board in April 2010. Watch for more information!
