Every school has its unique set of requirements that you must address throughout the placement. Talk with your school, college or university to make sure you are clear about these expectations. Here are some common requirements:
You must be at the placement a certain number of hours each week. For example, Rutgers School of Social Work requires 15 hours a week during the first year of the graduate program.
You will have to develop a learning contract that outlines your goals, tasks and responsibilities that is acceptable both to the school and to Enable.
You will need to maintain data and complete reports such as Process Recordings and timesheets for your placement as well as data and reports that may be necessary for the programs in which you work at Enable.
You will be evaluated. This usually includes a self-evaluation along with the evaluation of your field instructor.
Your field instructor at Enable may be required to have the appropriate training to be recognized as an approved field instructor by your school.
You may need to participate in a class at your school that is held in conjunction with the placement.
You must have weekly supervisory sessions at Enable with your field instructor.
We hope this is helpful information and look forward to meeting you should you inquire about an internship.
