Martial Arts with Heart Helps Enable: |
| This has been an extraordinary year of generosity by Martial Arts with Hearts. Enable was selected as the charity to receive funds they raised all year while helping martial arts students learn how to improve themselves and their community. As they say, “Changing the World…One Kick…One Punch…One Karate Student at a Time!” They have conducted bowl-a-thons, kick-a-thons, a golf tournament, a jump-a-thon, and some children have even dedicated their birthday party to raise funds to help persons with disabilities who are served by Enable. |  |

With two more busy months to go, the United TaeKwanDo Academies is still raising funds and is also planning a final extravaganza. It will be held Saturday, January 24, 2009,

Sensei Jon Libutti will make a special appearance and perform. Sensei Libutti lost the use of one arm and had a leg amputated following a terrible motorcycle accident. Despite these seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Sensei Libutti continued to train in martial arts and has become an inspiration for many. If you want to join us, tickets may be purchased at $20 per person from any UTA Academy, or contact events@enablenj.org for assistance. Tickets may be purchased at the door if seats remain. MAWH hosted a Golf Tournament on October 5th at the Cream Ridge Country Club. Two of the sponsors, TD Commerce Bank and PNC Bank are highlighted in the photos at the right. |

| MAWH became involved in community service at Enable's Group Home in Somerset County on June 7th and 8th. Over 50 staff, students and their families from Central New Jersey martial arts studios gathered to transform the interior and exterior of the house to make it more of a home for the individuals living there. |
